Aloha! Thank you for visiting my site. I'm Nadine, and I'm writing a fictional thriller, Charm (a novel), about murder and mayhem. The murder is pure fiction and unexciting, while the mayhem is the opposite. I have been working on fictionalizing my story for four years—it's ready to be told, but I can't do this alone any longer. Your support is invaluable to me at this stage. Please consider sponsoring Charm the Series (which cumulates with the Novel) with a patron package starting at $10.

All patrons will receive a Kindle eBook- the thrilling first installment of Charm: The Series- Pineapple Pirates of the Caribbean Part 1. This one-hour novelette will transport you into the suspenseful world of Lucy Bloom, a background actor, boutique owner, and busy Mom on the verge of burnout enjoying life in a sleepy beach town in Hawaii. You'll also meet various characters, such as Tommy, the enigmatic and devious con man, and read stories inspired by real-life events. Tommy is inspired by Jeff, who stole a yacht from a climate change activist and got away with it. I'll reveal it all in Pineapple Pirates of the Caribbean. But first, get to know the kind of guy he is with Part 1. It's a journey that will take about an hour to read, give or take; it's not a race.

Each novelette is short and intense, expanding Lucy's world in Hawaii and introducing readers to new villains with each book. Book 2 seamlessly continues book 1 and so forth, and sometimes takes place 5,000 miles away. You'll delve into a long con that unfolded over two years leading up to the entirely fictional events. I will also tell you the authentic and fictional story behind this man's past, present, and future crimes in the novel, where each story and character intertwine to reveal the whole story. It's up to you to decide what's real and what's not besides the obvious.

Book 2 is titled McNDA, and readers go back in time and learn how an intelligent, quiet Catholic School girl with a promising future, like Lucy, got mixed up with someone like Tommy in the first place. McNDA will give a genuine peek behind the curtain of corporate greed and exploitation of young people, esp. girls in the workforce. You'll learn how Lucy was strong-armed into accepting a payoff and an NDA after being assaulted by her much older boss. I'm telling my truth in McNDA to shed light on problems people might not know about, such as the dangers of relying on prison and child labor simultaneously.

I hope that society will correct the course someday.

The third book in the series is titled All the Queen's Men. Readers remain in the past and learn about Lucy's life after Tommy abandoned her and their baby. With her life turned upside down, she finds herself surrounded by dangerous people to protect herself and her child from Tommy's post-breakup abuse. In All the Queen's Men, readers will be introduced to another psychopath who became obsessed with Lucy after meeting her at work. He did more time for stealing a beer from a local pub than he did for brutally attacking Lucy from behind in a dark parking lot. You will learn about the seven-year hunt she barely survived and the prison fight that helped free Lucy from his sights while indebting her to Tommy, or so he thought.

The final book in the one-hour novelette series is Backward Pawn, bringing readers closer to the "present" day. It tells the story of Lucy and her family moving to Hawaii for a new beginning, where her past couldn't physically catch up to them anymore. Lucy's newfound peace, freedom, and happiness were short-lived after she befriended a woman she virtually met in an online Mom group. She missed the red flags and Single White Female vibes she was throwing, and things got weird quick when she moved from the mainland to Lucy's secluded neighborhood on Oahu.

Lucy learns that a fresh start is impossible if you run from your demons without looking inward to figure out your role in the chaos. Sometimes, coincidence is a pattern you have yet to figure out.

Some patterns cast a wide spiral; depending on how far out you are from the point of impact, you only see the pattern once it's too late. Think of skipping a rock on a calm lake. As it bounces, it leaves a mark on the water's surface before jumping to the next spot until it can't skip anymore. Then, it plops, creating a ripple that goes backward until it hits that first point of contact. It's the moment after which everything is different. If you had a bird's eye view of the skipping stone, you would see the pattern as the same and distinct from the person who skipped the rock.

Lucy's journey culminates in the final lengthy novel, Charm. After a wild ride exploring Lucy's unusual pattern of unintentionally attracting dangerous criminally minded people into her orbit, dots will be connected. You will also read how she survived attempts on her life, what it was like to be stalked, and how the police and justice system continually failed her. The system is not designed to protect people like Lucy or anyone who doesn't check specific boxes. The same boxes Tommy checks undoubtedly help him continue to escalate his criminal behavior. He would be behind bars if the cops, courts, and laws operated close to how they claim to.

I will tell my story through Lucy because I do not have the courage to say it as my own. I aim to shed light on genuine troubles society shoves in the dark. Someday, I want to be a part of finding solutions. I never want anybody to go through what I and many others did. Modern solutions will help minimize the probability of a violent crime happening to a young person you love.

With proper prevention, education, and societal changes, our ancestors born and yet to come can have the best chance at living up to their fullest potential with fewer obstacles and trauma embedded in the patriarchy we live in today, and it starts by talking story.

I humbly ask for your support as I tell my story. Mahalo for reading this and for your consideration. Please click below to purchase Pink, Purple, or a Plum Patron Package. Mahalo for sponsoring this project, I'm truly grateful.

I will be establishing a free members-only forum where I'll post photos and interactive questions, such as whether Lucy should visit Koko Crater or Hanauma Bay in this scene or eat at Zippy's or Duke's in that scene. I'll share snippets, progress, behind-scenes, and talk story with friends, local shopkeepers, and others around the islands here and on social media (coming soon.) I'm stoked to do fun giveaways too.

I know we don't know each other. I'm a pretty isolated person by my own accord, but the pandemic and explosion of social media turning to a newer, healthier version lately have shown me I'm not alone in that, and it's okay. I don't want to continue this journey alone anymore, and I'm ready to get back out into the world again and have a little fun, write a badass book, provide a healthy and whole life for my family, and live again. As Buddy Wakefield said, "There is life after survival." (you are probably familiar with his work, but if not, I recommend you peep his poems and books right now.) I've lived in survival mode for decades and am ready for the next chapter. Please join me on this journey while I write my book and talk story together. GOOD VIBES ONLY.
